On the morning of Mar.8th,the 3rd session of 11th NPC held the 2nd plenary meeting, hearing the explanation on draft amendments to electoral law of National People's Congress and local People's Congresses. After the meeting, the delegations respectively held plenary meetings to discuss the draft in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
FENG XINGLU
The Electoral Law was first enacted in 1953, revised in 1979, and it has been amended four times since then.
Wang Lequan, member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, secretary of CPC XJ Committee and NPC deputy, Smayi Tieliwardy, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and NPC deputy, and Nuer Baikeli, NPC deputy, deputy secretary of CPC XJ Committee, chairman of XJ Uygur Autonomous Region attended the deliberation.Ailigeng Yimingbahai, head of XJ delegation presided over the deliberation.
Ailigeng Yimingbahai holds that, the Electoral Law reflects the principles of equality among people, regions and ethnic groups.
NPC deputy Shi Shaolin expressed that, reflecting the principle of equal right is the highlight of this revised electoral law. |
