In the first day of the Urumqi fair, Hami drew 13.585 billion Yuan of investment in 22 projects covering many fields including infrastructure and water conservancy construction, exploitation of minerals, development of wind energy resources and deep processing of agricultural products.

During the Urumqi fair in 2009, 24 cooperative projects were signed in Hami. Compared with the previous years, Hami highlights its advantages in clean and green energy this year, especially its wind energy resources. While promoting development, Hami paid an increasing attention in the protection of natural environment and the balance between different industries.
