Power supply is a key sector in economic development and people's daily lives. Along with the great economic development of South XJ, the power consumption in south XJ is increasing rapidly. Viewing this, XJ Power Corporation will invest 11.8 billion RMB to strengthen the power grid construction in south XJ during 2010 to 2015. 

Presently, south XJ is quickening the main power grid construction and pushing forward hydropower projects construction, and thermal power project as support. 

Based on the 12th 5-year plan, south XJ will extend 750KV line from Korla to Kashgar via Kuqa, and construct a circle network of  220KV power grid in Kizilsu and Kashgar prefectures. Furthermore, reserve power supply will be built for key companies in industrial zones at counties. The power supply problem for 560,000 people in 150,000 households will be solved.
