Mongolian Prime Minister Sukhbaatar Batbold Tuesday submitted six ministerial nominations to the country's parliament, despite President Tsakhia Elbegdorj earlier rejecting four of them, local media reported.

D. Khayanhyarvaa, Ts. Dashdorj and J. Enkhbayar, parliamentary members of the ruling Mongolian People's Party (MPP), were nominated as the ministers of finance, transportation and defense, respectively.

MPP Secretary General Ukhnaa Khurelsukh was nominated as first deputy prime minister.

However, the president rejected all four, saying their legislator identities might lead to an imbalanced government.

The parliament was expected to decide whether to ratify the cabinet nominations within days.

The nominations are to replace six ministers from the Democratic Party (DP) dismissed last Friday after the party decided to withdraw from the country's coalition government earlier this month.
