Mar. 11, 2010 -- At this year's sessions of NPC and CPPCC, the state proposed to offer more supports to the education to ethnic minorities and ethnic minority areas. XJ NPC deputies and CPPCC members regarded that, XJ should take this opportunity to speed up the bilingual education development.

Bilingual education contributes to contemporary times and bring benefits for the future centuries. However, the shortage of faculties and teaching facilities affect the further development of bilingual education. So it is imminent to enhance the training of bilingual teachers and establishment of relevant facilities.

DONG XIN'GUANG  CPPCC MEMBER:

"The faculties of Uygur and Kazak languages in South XJ are good. However, the bilingual teachers are not good, so we should put more efforts on that."

AIKBA'ER WUFU'ER NPC DEPUTY:

"I think if State and XJ governments considered to solve the teacher's practical problems, such as wages, allowances and subsidies,then those teachers may stay where they are, and the bilingual education can develop well."
