The 30 anniversary of Xibo Language Society was celebrated in Urumqi on August 28. Hundreds of members from the Xibo Language Society get together to review work in the past 30 years and make outline for its development in the future.

Under the mission of protecting and promoting the development of Xino language, people in Xibo Language Society have spared no effort to prevent Xibo language from extinction. It has held several conferences and forums to promote the development of culture and language of Xibo ethnic minority in Xinjiang.

Xinjiang Xibo Language Society was established in Urumqi on December 28, 1980. It became a region-level social group after registering in Department of Civil Affairs of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
