The 9th Sino-Japanese friendship painting exhibition held by Xinjiang Artists Association opened in Huaxia Art Museum on August 22, and will end on August 28. Chi Chongqing, party secretary of Tourism Administration of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and Deng Weidong, chairman of Xinjiang Artists Association attended the opening ceremony.
Each of the two sides contributed over 50 pieces of paintings to this exhibition. Japanese painters will stay in Xinjiang for days to sketch after the exhibition comes to an end.
Sino-Japanese friendship painting exhibition has been held for 9 times since 1992. It is of great importance for cultural exchange and friendship between China and Japan.
