A calligraphy exhibition hosted by The Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings will be held in Urumqi from August 12 to 18.

According to He Dong, executive president of The Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings, 155 calligraphy works from 34 provinces and cities of China will be on display in two categories: Calligraphy and Chinese Painting. This exhibition will provide an opportunity for people in Xinjiang to appreciate calligraphy works from different parts of China. Besides, it is also a move to provide cultural assistance to Xinjiang.
