Policemen in Karamay city, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, helped a lost driver find their way to Urumqi city, capital of the region, on Dec 31.
Mr. Hua, a migrant worker, had to go to Urumqi overnight for some urgent business. Unfortunately, he drove in the wrong direction, and, to make matters worse, his car ran out of gasoline. He could do nothing but call the police.
The Jiugongli traffic police brigade sent police to help Hua as soon as they got the call but because Mr Hua could not give his exact location, the two policemen faced a long search along the road to find him.
Hua was filled with relief at the sight of the police since he had been quivering in the cold up until their arrival.
The police brought Hua some gasoline and helped him find the right way to Urumqi.
