Wheat harvest in Altay which is located in north Xinjiang started on August 29. Influenced by the unusual weather and some natural disasters, the output of wheat decreased to some extend. However, the central government increased the purchase price of wheat and distributed subsidies, which still boosted  local farmers' income.
