Jumatay Aubakir, known as the "doctor on horseback," is also a recipient of the "Most Beautiful Village Doctor" award. He has been providing medical care to the remote pastoral area of Xinjiang since July 1992. The region, at an elevation of over 3,000 meters, is marked by dangerous mountain roads. To reach his patients, he often has to traverse several mountains. Even so, he has never turned down any patient in need despite all the difficulties. His most recognizable companion is a 40-year-old medical kit, once used by his father, symbolizing his lifelong dedication to serving the people.
